Who is Team Let’s Talk Consent?

Let’s Talk Consent was born out of frustrations for the systemic injustices around sexual violence in Aotearoa New Zealand. The journey begun with co-founder Genna Hawkins-Boulton called for youth testimonies on the state of consent education and prevalence of sexual violence in high school. With the support of Teach Us Consent in Australia, 300 youth across Aotearoa courageously shared their stories to advocate for change.

The stories of our youth inspired Genna Hawkins-Boulton to create Let’s Talk Consent, bringing Jasmine Gray and Laura Porteous on board as co-founders to bring the mission to life.

All three women are passionate about social change and making a difference to create a consent-culture focused in the community.

Their combined tertiary expertise encompasses:

Media, Communications, Film, Television, Global Politics, Human Rights, Public Health, Health Promotion, Commercial Law & International Business.
